Durango 2027 · The Strava club

Train on the course. Chase the crown. Defend it on race day.

The Valkyrie Relay Strava club is free, public, and run by the race organizers.

What the club is

Valkyrie Relay is a seven-sport team relay race - trail running, mountain biking, stand-up paddleboarding, open-water swimming, road cycling, canoe/kayak paddling and road running - first run in 2021 and held in Durango, Colorado, since 2023. Every teammate takes a leg or two, and the race hands off from sport to sport, all in one day.

This club is where Valkyrie trains between race days. Run and ride the Durango legs and log them on Strava: the club leaderboard counts runs, rides and swims, ranks by time, and resets every Sunday night, so every week is a fresh start. Join club runs, rides and meet-ups, find teammates, and hear race news here first. Then meet us on the start line.

Open to anyone who runs, rides, swims or paddles, wherever you train. The club is run by the race organizers. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Strava, and race-day results come from the official race timing, never from Strava.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one takes a minute.

  1. Join

It's free. Tap Join Club on Strava; no approval wait.

  2. Log it

Anything you run, ride or swim counts on the club leaderboard. It resets Sunday night, so every Monday is a new board.

  3. Show up

Club runs, rides and meet-ups in Durango, and race news before anyone else. Then race it in September 2027.

Defend your crown on race day

On Strava, the fastest time on a segment holds the crown, and the most efforts over ninety days makes you the Local Legend. Between now and September 2027 this club will point you at the Durango legs. On race day the whole field is on the same course at once, timed by the official race timing. Strava is where you train and talk; the race is where it counts.
