Update your roster

Rosters change. Someone gets injured, someone else steps in, and the legs get shuffled the week before the race. You do not need us for most of it - here is how to make each change yourself.

Everything below happens in one of two places:

Who can change what

One thing you cannot change yourself: your own name or email address on the registration. Email info@valkyrierelay.com and we will do it.

Someone is dropping out and someone else is taking their place

This is the most common change, and it is free. Swapping one racer for another costs nothing and there is no limit on how many times you do it, right up to packet pickup. It is not a transfer - the replacement simply registers on your team in their own name.

1. Captain signs in at myevents.active.com and presses Team Center.
2. Invite the replacement, using their email address.
3. They register on the Team Member entry at no charge and sign the waiver.

A swap made after the roster deadline below may not appear in published results or on pre-printed materials, so the earlier the better.

A teammate has not registered yet

Captains invite. Teammates register themselves, free - your team entry already covers them.

1. Captain signs in at myevents.active.com and presses Team Center.
2. Choose to invite a team member and enter their email address.
3. They register on the Team Member entry, at no charge.

In Team Center the captain can also resend an invitation that has gone unanswered, or cancel one that went to the wrong address.

Changing who runs which leg

Two steps, because two things need to be true: we need to know your plan, and each racer's own entry needs to match it.

1. The captain fills in the team's leg board - one place to lay out all seven legs across your team. This is what we work from.
2. Each racer updates their own leg answer in MyEvents: sign in, find the registration, choose Edit registration, and change the leg question.

Racers can run more than one leg. Change it as often as you need, at no charge, until the roster deadline of Friday, August 27, 2027.

Changing your team name or password

Captain, in Team Center. Both can be changed at no charge until the roster deadline of Friday, August 27, 2027. The password is what stops anyone outside your team joining it, so if you have shared it widely, change it.

Checking who has signed the waiver

Captain, in Team Center. You will see your roster with each racer's waiver status, and their bib number once bibs are assigned. Chase the gaps yourself rather than waiting for us - nobody starts without a signed waiver.

Handing your own entry to someone else

Swapping a teammate in is free. Handing over the paid entry itself is a transfer: it costs $25 and can be done until Wednesday, September 15, 2027. A teammate entry that carried no charge transfers at no cost.

1. The racer holding the entry signs in at myevents.active.com.
2. They find their Valkyrie registration and choose Transfer registration, then enter the new racer's email address.
3. ACTIVE emails the new racer a link and walks them through the rest. They do not need a registration number.

The new racer joins the same category the original racer was in.

Moving between the Full Course and the Sprint Course

A racer moves their own entry in MyEvents using Transfer to Another Category - that is its own option, separate from Edit Registration Information, so look for those words rather than the general edit screen. It costs $25 and can be done until Wednesday, September 15, 2027, if there is space in the category you are moving to. The Full and Sprint courses are the same price, so there is no difference to pay on top. If your whole team is switching course, the captain should email us first so we move everyone together.

If you registered for 2026

Your entry is being carried over at no charge. When it is ready you will get an email from us with your registration number - then you can claim it, once, before you can change anything.

Before you start: the name and date of birth on your ACTIVE account have to match the ones on your registration, so use your own. If you registered someone under 18, you do not claim anything - they will already be in your account.

1. Sign in at myevents.active.com, or create an account there using your own name and date of birth.
2. Find Claim registration.
3. Enter the registration number from your confirmation email. It starts with R-.

Deadlines

After the roster deadline the roster is locked so we can print, pack and plan around it. Race day is September 18, 2027. The full conditions of entry are in the registration terms.
