The Valkyrie Team Kit — What It Is and How Ordering Will Work

Seven disciplines in one day asks a lot of a team. The kit is the part that makes nine people who met at a start line look like they belong to the same thing.

Here is what the Valkyrie team kit is, and — just as importantly — what we have not confirmed yet.

How ordering will work

Every racer orders their own. You pick the garment for your leg, pick your size, pay for it yourself, and it ships to your address. There are no group orders, no spreadsheets, and no captain chasing anyone for money or sizes. If you have ever been the captain, you already know why that matters more than the design does.

Everything is made to order. Nothing is held in stock, which means kit is produced in batches: a window opens, orders are collected, the window closes, and everything in it is made. Expect your kit about six weeks after the window closes.

A garment for each leg — and one honest exception

Each of the seven disciplines gets the garment that suits the job it does. There is one exception we would rather state plainly than hide: there is no custom swimsuit in the range. The team piece for the open-water swim leg is the jacket, so our swimmers are in Valkyrie colours at the start and at the finish.

Team gear, for everyone

Alongside the leg garments there is kit for the whole team regardless of what you race: a hoodie, socks, a cap, and the one every seven-sport team actually needs — a gear bag. A relay team moves an enormous amount of equipment, and it all has to get to the start.

What we are still confirming

We would rather publish this now with gaps than publish something tidy and wrong. Still outstanding: the exact window dates, the full body-measurement chart, the exchange terms, and whether team names can be added to garments. Every one of those will appear on the kit page before anyone can place an order.

Kit opens with registration. There is no ordering link yet, and there is no date on this announcement, because neither has been confirmed. When they are, the kit page is where they will appear first.
